Around Aspen
The Aspen/Pitkin County Airport will close for runway repairs and resurfacing from April 9-June 7, 2007. The resurfacing should make the runway safer when it is wet. If you are planning a visit during this time, Eagle County Airport, a short 70 minute drive from Aspen, would be a good choice.
The Aspen home of Prince Bandar Bin Sultan, Saudi Arabian ambassador to the US, is on the market for $135 million. At first believed to be the most expensive home on the market in the country, it is now second behind the late Aaron Spelling's home, which was recently listed for $150 million.

Great Progress
Last week I had the opportunity to walk through the Innsbruck with Jim, our general contractor. It was so exciting to see the new cabinets in the kitchen, closet and interior doors, built-in bookcases by the fireplaces and the beautiful molding around all of the doors and windows. It looks even richer than the model that I love. I have included the best pictures I could take, but it is just impossible to do it justice at this stage.
 The tile is starting to go into the baths. It is always hard to shoot pictures of a bathroom, but those of you who are coming to town during the winter will be impressed by the progress we are making. There are several residences in the east wing that should be almost finished within 8 weeks. As you know, we are starting at one end and working our way to the other, so that the next residence is one step behind the one to the east.
 The last phase for us to finish will be the garden level residences. We are using that level to store everything. I'm excited that the terrace area outside each front door is larger than I had realized it would be.
 About half of the metal has been put on the roof. We had a short break from the snow and made really good progress. It is challenging because we all want snow, but know that it slows the metal installation.
Our next update will show the bathroom finishes. It will also show even more progress with stair towers and how pretty they are becoming.
