Construction Update
This has been a tremendous week for us at the jobsite. Steel is going up on the west annex. Walls have been poured for all of the foundations and for the new west annex. The elevator shaft has been poured. The east annex roof trusses and roof timbers are in place. And, the crew is adding the decorative timbers to the south side of the building.
We are excited that the stonework is looking so attractive. The rear of the building has surpassed our expectations. From this phase forward, the progress will be more apparent - you will be able to see, almost on a daily basis, the transformation into your beautiful new home.
This week, the most exciting thing has been the arrival of our new construction coordinator, Suzanne Fallon. Suzanne comes to us with a strong construction background helping build teamwork to facilitate the building process and handle diverse responsibilities resourcefully. We are brainstorming now on other ways to help speed the process. We are pleased with the progress and quality to date and we want to do everything possible to finish quickly so that you can start enjoying your new home.
Timing
I know we told you we would do our best to have the timeline done by the end of this week. Actually, our GC, Jim Quintana, has finished the timeline, but since Suzanne just came on board she hasn't had time to verify it thoroughly. Our commitment is to get you in as soon as possible, but we feel it is paramount that we convey, every step of the way, any delays in the construction process so that you know what's going on and you can plan accordingly.
Suzanne is committed to making it her priority to verify with the subs and double check every aspect of the timeline. She will have an update for us next week, so you will be able to pick your dates by September 15.
We hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend. The weather is wonderful right now in Aspen. Color season is rapidly approaching, so hopefully the next newsletter will have some beautiful shots of progress and leaves changing.
